Due to the fact that the vehicle is a convertible, and the fact that the rear hatch is so short, a trunk mounted bike rack would not work well on your vehicle. Neither Yakima or Thule recommend a trunk mount rack for the PT Cruiser convertible.

Your best bet would be to install a Draw-Tite Class I receiver hitch like part # 24759 and use it to provide an attachment point for a hitch mounted bike rack.

The Lets Go Aero NEO2 2-Bike Rack Item # B01748 is an inexpensive rack that works best for occasional short trips. For longer trips and more frequent use, I would recommend the Swagman Trailhead, part # S63360. The Trailhead provides sturdy rubber straps that prevent the bikes from swaying during transport.

To carry women's bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes or step-through frames, using a frame adapter like part # 64005 is recommended. The adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar gooseneck, and provides a level attachment point to the bike rack so the bike has greater ground clearance and is not carried at an angle.
