Question:

I have a 2000 keystone 2850 RK Montana do you have any clue as to what leaf springs I need as replacements? Any help on this would be great, keystone really sucks on their specs. Thanks,

Most RV manufacturers don't keep a record of the original parts they use when it comes to suspension which is why it is a pain to figure out sometimes (as you have experienced). While I don't have a specific part number I can tell you will work, I definitely have some tips on how to choose the correct replacement leaf springs for your 2000 Keystone 2850RK Montana.

The first thing to do is determine your axle weight capacity. From what I could find it looks like your GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) is 11,000 lbs so I would guess you have two 5,200 lb axles (some of the weight is transferred to the pin). With that in mind we can now start narrowing down our search.

The 2 last pieces of info you need to acquire are leaf spring type and length. Most tandem (2) axle trailers have double-eye springs but some are slipper. Double-eye springs have an eyelet on both ends while slipper only has one eyelet. Measure from eyelet to eyelet, or eyelet to the hook end of your spring and then filter through our linked selection for one that matches closely. Most of the time older springs will be slightly longer than brand new springs just because they have been used and stretched out.
