Does DeeZee Tailgate Assist Fit 2019 Ram 2500

Question:
Hi, I was thinking of getting the Dee Zee tailgate assist for my Ram. I have the factory damper with my tailgate, however I added an to my tailgate that weighs 20lbs and now my tailgate slams down. The extra weight is too much for the factory damper, which I believe to be inside one of the taillights. I think adding the Dee Zee assist would help lower it slowly again and should work with the factory damper since it is located in a different spot than the factory damper. Any reason you think this would not work? Thanks!

The DeeZee Tailgate assist part # DZ43301 that you referenced is a fit for your 2019 Ram 2500 and will help you lower your heavier tailgate since it will slow it down a bit but it won't help with lifting it.
