Question:
I have a 2008 Ford F-250, with a 6.4L Diesel. My first question is will this work for my truck? Does this cooler set up relocate the oil filter? The oil filter on my truck is under the hood on top of the motor, I believe it’s called a canister filter... it’s the type of filter that you can see the filter media. My reason for wanting this set up is to add a secondary oil cooler to my truck. So my next question is will this basically act as a secondary cooler, or will I have to take my factory cooler out? I need a set up like this because here in Florida while hauling my horse trailer, my oil temp get a little high for my liking. Thank you.

The Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Engine Cooler Kit w/ Fan # D15660, like most other coolers, is actually a universal fit so you just need to make sure that you have enough room in your engine bay to ensure that it will fit on your 2008 Ford F-250. This cooler has overall dimensions of 13" wide x 10" tall x 5-5/8" deep and then has mounting dimensions of 7-1/2" wide x 9" tall (see attached).
While this kit doesn't come with a relocation kit, you can easily add one with part # D15748 and then basically just ignore the adapter plate that comes with the cooler kit. I confirmed this with my contact at Derale.
