Adapter For Converting 2 inch Hitch Bike Rack to 1-1/4 inch
Updated 03/23/2020 | Published 03/20/2020 >
Question:
My bike rack opening is 1 3/4inch inside to inside, 2inch x 2inch inch outside. It need a reducer sleeve to fit my cars 1 1/4inch receiver. Or better if you have a 1 1/4inch receiver adapter with a 2.5 to 3inch opening. That would fit over the 2x2inch outer bike rack. Any ideals?

Sounds like what you are looking for is a 2 inch to 1-1/4 inch hitch adapter like the Brophy part # HTAD based on what you mentioned although the dimensions mentioned may not match perfectly. This will fit the 1-1/4 inch hitch you have on your vehicle and give you a 2 inch opening for your bike rack to attach to. These two hitch sizes are the common ones vehicle have nowadays. Keep in mind that adapters like this cut the capacity of the hitch by 50 percent.
