Question:
We have a 2018 Bighorn 5 er. The tires are Grated, and door sticker and tire sez 110 psi cold. When I talk to my dealer, he sez Aluminum rim manufacturer reccomends 90 psi, and that figure should be stamped on rims inside, which I cannot find. Im confused. Ive taken 3 trips at 110 psi, but took recent trip to Arizona desert with 90+ psi, and tires felt a bit too warm at times. HELP !

Expert Reply:
The wheels themselves would have no problem handling 110 psi but there is possibility that the valve stems aren't rated for the pressure as that is the typical weakest link. So if you are unsure your best solution is to replace the valve stems with ones that are rated for the pressure like the Americana valve stems part # AM20906 which fit all standard trailer wheels and are also rated for up to 200 psi.
