Question:
I am considering buying one of your trailer hitches for my wifes 2017 Toyota Corolla SE. What it would be used for primarily is attaching an adapter which lets my bicycle carrier which has a 2inch receiver to be necked down to the 1 1/4inch that these hitches use. Yes, I know that the adapter s the weight of the hitch down to 100 lbs, from 200. My question though is do i want the Curt hitch or the Draw-Tite. The difference in cost is $5, but would both support using this adapter changing the size of the draw bar from 1 1/4inch to 2, and are both hitches of the same quality?

For overall quality the Curt hitches like the # C12136 that you referenced are the winners. We've found they seem to have the highest quality control whereas other companies we've seen the hitch tubes welded at almost an angle so the bike racks were tilted to the side. We've also found that their powder coat finish is the most durable.
While the hitch adapter route isn't my favorite solution for carrying a bike rack the Curt will work for that.

I want someone to tell me if I can get a hitch hiker (to carry a mobility scooter) for 2004 Solara that a dealer can install with no drama either initially or later on.
