Is the clear shield crystal clear or does it have a very light tint? I’m looking to soften the light color of my license plate on my deep blue car but do not want to make my license plate difficult to read or draw the attention of law enforcement since it’s illegal to cover or distort the appearance of your license plate. A side-by-side photo of the license plate with and without the shield would be helpful.

The Ultimate Tuf Combo License Plate Frame and Clear Shield part # CR62510 has a black border with clear cover that is not tinted by definition so you won't have issues with law enforcement but does help reduce the intensive of the reflective material used on license plate lights like what you are after. The Tuf Bubble Shields for License Plates are offered in clear part # CR73100 (above), blue part # CR73400, and smoke part # CR73200. That said, we don't offer a Tuf Bubble Shields for License Plates with light smoke if you will but I think the above will provide the look you are wanting.
