Is it Normal For CTEK Charger To Spend Most Time in Stage 3
Published 02/20/2020 >
Question:
I replaced my battery three weeks ago. I drive the car fairly infrequently so I just purchased the ctek charger to keep it topped-up. I tried the charger out figuring it would go straight to stage 7, but it seemed to stall at stage 3. Is this normal?

Expert Reply:
Stage 3 of the Ctek chargers like part # CTEK56353 you referenced is the bulk portion of the charge. This is where you'll see most of the time spent when the battery is charging. I would leave it on for a few hours and check it again and see if it's still there. Most likely you are totally fine though.
