Valterra Dead Bolt Lock. What are two holes drilled on the interior side of the latch used for? Global link door latch has two holes drilled in the handle on the interior side of the latch. What are they used for?

The holes that are on the latch part of the Valterra Deadbolt Lock for RVs # L32CS3008 are used to connect the front and back portion of this particular lock.
The screw holes for the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit # 295-000002 are for installing and securing the latch portion of the kit.
