would the trailer hitch on a 02 Silverado be 1 1/4 or 2?

If you have the factory hitch installed on your vehicle, then it is the 2 inch by 2 inch receiver hitch. If it is an aftermarket hitch on your vehicle then it is most likely a 2 inch receiver hitch. You will need to measure the inside width of the opening on the hitch where the receiver slides in. The measurement should be apparent when you use a ruler or tape measure.
