For your 2008 Honda Pilot I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98851 because of its simple installation and superior finish. What sets this hitch apart is the tough matte coating hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than a traditional glossy finish. One thing you'll be glad you picked up is a nylon tube brush # 814092. There's plenty of gunk and road debris that can build up inside your weld nuts over the years, so you'll want to make sure you spray a good amount of lubricant and clean those out to save you precious time during installation.

The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118336 is your best option to add a 4-Pole flat trailer connector to your Pilot. The t-connectors plug right into your factory connectors behind your tail light so no cutting, splicing or tapping is required. When it comes to the built-in converter, Tekonsha harnesses are my top choice simply because they have proven to be the most reliable option.
