What is the Maximum Crossbar Spread the Swagman Roof Bike Rack # S64710 Can Attach To

Question:
What is the length of this bike carrier? More specifically, what is the maximum allowable distance between the bars on which the carrier is mounted? I have Thule bars mounted on my truck, but the distance between the bars which I cannot change is too great for a standard Thule bike carrier. Is this carrier longer?

Expert Reply:
I spoke with my contact at Swagman and she informed me that the Swagman Roof Rack # S64710 that you referenced can be installed on cross bars that are up to 52 inches apart measured from the center of each bar to the other bar center. Check out the review video and installation instructions I attached for this product.
The maximum cross bar width the clamps of the product can attach to is 3 inches.
