The correct Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack for a 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 short bed is part # TH43002XT-781 and part # TH43002XT-780 for a long bed. The stake pocket inserts cannot be adjusted back and forth along the rail. If you need to use the same rack on both bed options you would have to get an extra set of rails, part # TH21781 for short bed or part # TH21780 for long bed.
