The side straps can attach to any part of your 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara as long as it is secured to the Jeep. At this time we do not have an installation video of the Bestop All-Weather Trail Cover, # B8104109, on a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

The straps on this cover use simple j-style hooks that just need an edge. There should be a suitable place under the running boards such as the running board brackets or an edge under the running boards.

If you cannot find a suitable attachment point, then you could create your own using a standard assist strap like part # 06303. You can wrap this strap around your running boards or frame rail and hook the strap through the loops on the strap. I have attached a photo that shows how to wrap the strap and use the loops to hold the j-style hook. The straps on the cover have a buckle that will allow you to tighten the straps as needed.
