Maxxfan Wont Stop Running or Wont Start Working

Question:

Hi, My maxxfan starts running by itself and none of the buttoms work. The only way I can turn it off is by disconnecting the electricity. After that, the fun wont start again. After a while it starts by itself and I have to repeat all the process. Any idea on what is happening? Thanks

Sorry you're having this issue. We have come across this from time to time and you will need the Replacement Printed Circuit Board for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus Roof Vents part # MA10A04751KS to fix your issue. It is a very easy installation and will get your MaxxAir fan back up and running properly. The connectors will match what you currently have and you'll need two butt connectors I recommend the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector - 16-14 Gauge part # DW05744-5 to make the connections to your current power source.

There seems to be some kind of connection issue with the fan switch. You're getting power to the lid, so what I recommend doing is testing the wire leading to the fan switch with a circuit tester to see if there's any power on that circuit. Let me know what you find - you may need to repair some wiring or replace the switch itself.
