I would like to know what the width between fenders is. I saw where the total width is 54inch but I need width of the trailer minus fenders. Thanks

The frame width between the fenders on the CE Smith Multi Sport Plus Boat and Kayak Trailer # CE48870 is right at 40". As you mentioned in your question, the fenders each add a width of 7" to put the overall width of the trailer at 54".
