Question:

I have a Saris Freedom platform rack but need a threaded hitch pin. I wasn’t going to order the original Saris hitch pin and lock because they appear to be over priced and were rated just ok. I decided I would buy another brand but I didn’t know what size diameter and thread count the Saris is? Can you let me know the thread specs for the Saris Freedom and if you have any locking threaded hitch pin options you may have that would be a good alternative to the Saris? This may not be the answer you are wanting to hear but the only hitch pin we can recommend for your Saris Freedom is the one Saris has tested and recommends # SA3021 for just the pin or part # SA3022 for the lock as well. The price on these is better than most other brand options so even if there was a different one that would work you wouldn't save any money.
