Question:

I would like to purchase a trailer hitch for my Toyota RAV4 2017 Hybrid. I like the ones that are mostly hidden from view except for the receiver. What are the other considerations? I have a Thule Bike Carrier that I would like to use with the new hitch. I will also probably at some point want to get a cargo carrier to also go with this new hitch. I really like the roof rack extender attachment to the hitch as well and I a may purchase one of those some day. I dont anticipate really using the hitch to tow anything. Which hitch should I get for my car?

The Curt trailer hitch part # C13406 is what I recommend for a mostly hidden trailer hitch that fits your 2017 Toyota RAV4. Only the hitch opening hangs below the rear bumper, so you get a mostly concealed look like you are looking for. I attached an install video for more info for you to check out as well. This will work really well with your Thule bike rack too.

For a roof rack extender, the Rhino-Rack T-Load part # RTL002 is a really great option too. It fits this hitch and is also more stable than other similar options so I recommend it highly. For a cargo carrier the Reese part # 63153 is a really great option too. It has a 500 lb weight capacity and also measures 24 inch by 60 inch.
