Snow Tire Chain Recommendation for 2019 Buick Encore AWD with 215/55-18 Tires

Question:
I have a 2019 Buick Encore AWD with 215/55/18R tires. The owners manual states not to use tire chains because there isn't enough clearance but I'm required to use them in NY state. Am I ok to use these or will they damage my vehicle?
