Question:
I understand that this rack will fit my 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500. My question is if the rack is 32 7/8inch tall overall, then what is the dimension from the bed rail to the first lower horizontal bar. Im trying to determine how much clearance between cab and rack. Thank you.

I can assure you that the Erickson Over-The-Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack # EM07707 will fit your 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 and clear the cab of the truck. The height from the underside of the lower tube of the rack down to the top of the truck bed rails is 32-7/8 inches. I also attached a picture of a 2015 Silverado that has the same cab height as yours and you can see there is plenty of clearance between the overhang of the rack and the truck cab.
