What is the U-Bolt Diameter in the Mounting Adapters for Surco Safari Rack, # SPT400

Question:
I have a Surco rack, but no mounting hardware. As you may imagine, that presents a problem. What I do have are two cross bars across the bed of my Tacoma that are 1.5inch round. Will the U-Bolt in this adapter kit fit snugly on a 1.5inch bar? If not, is there another kit that may?

I went out to the warehouse and pulled the Mounting Adapters for Surco Safari Rack, # SPT400. The u-bolts measure 1-7/16 inches from inner edge to inner edge.
You could potentially flex the u-bolts to accommodate a 1-1/2 inch diameter bar but the included brackets would maintain that smaller measurement because that cannot really be flexed. I made a short video for you as well.
