Troubleshooting Curt Pop In Gooseneck Hitch Ball Stuck in Ram Truck Rail Kit

Question:
I bought a 2017 ram 2500 had the curt pop in ball already installed i can rotate the pin 90 degrees from the top and underneath and it still will not release from the truck

Sounds like the balls of the Curt pop in ball part # C60618 have some corrosion or have locked up in the out position which is preventing the ball from being able to release.
You are going to want to do is spay lube between the collar and hitch ball, around where you think the retention balls would be. The more the better... Then let this sit for an hour or so or overnight if you can. Then you will want to take a rubber mallet and tap the hitch ball while lifting the release latch to see if you can get the stuck retention balls to break free.
