Published 12/31/2019 >
Question:
Hi, I am having the Curt hitch installed on my 2018 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 and I was wondering what does the removal of the bumper beam mean? I am trying to estimate the cost of labor.

Hello Molly, The Curt Hitch part # C13290 does require temporary removal of the bumper beam to install because it installs between the bumper beam and the frame of the 2018 Mercedes Benz GLC 300. What that means is the installer will need to remove the rear fascia and the bumper beam by removing the M12 hardware with 18MM socket and set it aside. It will be replaced once the hitch is installed. I have attached a link to the installation instructions and video that you can take to your installer so they can determine the cost for you.
