Troubleshooting Inside Control for Solera Smart Arm 12V Power Not Working

Question:

Awning will no longer operate using inside control, only outside control. The lock button light will flash and nothing will operate, Once I get the lock button light to stay on I can operate the awning and outside lights, but nothing will operate with the inside controls. I checked no problems with any fuses.

It sounds like you have a Solera Smart Arm 12V Power RV Awning like part # LC517517. If this is the case then there are 2 different ways that this can be accomplished if you have the strip of controls.

You can try unplugging the touch pad for 10 seconds (check for any corrosion on the plugs while doing this) and then if that doesn't fix it you can try clicking each button from top to bottom. Once you get to the bottom button hold it for 7-10 seconds. I confirmed all of this with my contact at Lippert.

If your inside control is just the switch that extends and retracts the awning then you need to check all of the wiring from the switch and make sure that everything is connected securely and nothing is damaged.
