Can Camco CAM57633 PropaneFitting Be Used with Natural Gas

Question:
Hi I see this is advertised for propane but would it work for a natural gas connection? I know certain gases have unique connections which is reason for asking. I have a gas dryer I an trying to get closer to the wall however the gas flex line sticks straight out the back preventing it to get closer. If I can put this 90 deg fitting on it would save me almost 2. Based on looking at the picture of this it appears it should work. Based on looking at picture it appears the adapter should come off but it doesnt. I tried several different ways and am scared of breaking it. Thanks in advance,

While the gas supply lines are specifically designed for use with NG or LP, there's nothing particularly unique about the fittings themselves other than some fittings that are specifically designed for LP. As long as the the dryer has a 3/8 inch male flared fitting coming off of it and the flex line used is specifically made for natural gas and has a 3/8 inch female fitting, and pipe dope is used to seal the threads, there's no reason why the # CAM57633 fitting wouldn't work for you. As far as removing the existing fitting goes, have you tried removing the back panel from the dryer to see if there's a fitting back in there with wrench flats? If so, you could use two wrenches in the opposite direction to get that apart.
