Question:
I have a Yakima Fat Cat ski/snowboard carrier that continuously slides on the SeaSucker round bars. I cant crank the mount tight enough to keep this from happening. Was going to sell this to friend and get different ski carrier. Looking at the Kuat 6 ski slide out. Will this work better with the SeaSucker round bars? I cant tell from your website if I will need to purchase the separate $20 mount listed, or if everything comes with the Kuat carrier that I will need. Are there other adaptors that are better for the SeaSucker round bars? Thanks

Thank you for all of the information!
I've heard of this kind of situation regarding the SeaSucker Monkey Bars # 298-SX6000B before and although there are other round bars out there, the Monkey Bars tend to allow a little more movement because they don't have a rough finish. This allows ski/snowboard carrier like your Yakima FatCat EVO # Y03096 to have more of a loose grip and move a little.
A different carrier like the Kuat Grip # GRR6B would seem like a viable solution but in all honesty your best solution with your current products is to add some rubber on the Monkey Bars where the carrier makes contact so it gets more grip. The Kuat Grip carrier has more plastic that would be in contact with the Monkey Bars so it wouldn't fare any better than your current FatCat. The adapter kit # GRDMK you referenced is actually for mounting the Kuat Grip to T-Slots in aero-style carriers.
I have included product description links below.
