Question:
I am curious to know if a programmer will benefit my truck any? I have a 2001 Silverado 2500HD, with a 6.0L gas and 5 speed standard. If so, what would the horsepower and torque values be changed to?

I checked with Edge and the correct CTS3 Performance Tuner (with 5" screen) for your 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500 with the 6.0L gas engine is the part # EP39YR. The Edge Evolution CTS3 # EP69YR that you referenced is designed for the diesel engine and won't work well on your truck.
This tuner will absolutely provide benefit to your Silverado. According to Edge, with this particular engine you can expect gains of up to 21 horsepower and 30 foot pounds of torque. Its integrated Mileage Coach will also help you monitor MPGs and various other parameters to help you develop more fuel-efficient driving habits to save money at the pump.
I have attached a short video review that you can check out as well.
