Question:

Good morning. 2 quick questions on these two hitches. Why does the Curt require that straps be used when using a bike care etc? Also, which one sticks out from underneath the least? I would like to see as little of the hitch as possible due to the set up of my vehicle 2020 Range Sport Supercharged. Thank you!

The Curt hitches like part # C13243 for the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport require the stabilization strap part # 18050 with accessories because the Land Rovers are not designed to handle a lot of tongue weight and accessories like bike racks are considered all tongue weight which puts a lot of leverage on the setup.

Both the Draw-Tite Hitch part # 75229 and the Curt hitch will be recessed under the bumper because they install exactly the same. I have attached a video snip showing where the Draw-Tite hitch will sit once installed. I recommend the Draw-Tite hitch because the instructions are lot easier to follow in my opinion and they don't require the strap.
