Best 5th Wheel Hitch That Fits Directly in Factory Puck System on 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500

Question:

Hello. I have a 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500. It has the long 8 foot bed with the factory puck system. Wondering what would be your recommendation for the best hitch that's designed for those pucks. I don't want an adapter or anything. Thank you for your time.

We do have a nice selection of 5th wheel hitches that are designed to drop right into the factory pucks on your 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500 but I specifically recommend the Curt A30 # C16070 that provides the highest towing capacity available at 30,000 pounds and features a unique spherical axial bearing that allows for easy pivot of the hitch head for smooth and quiet travel.

Something else you won't find on any other brand hitch is the 3-point indicator system that quickly lets you know when the hitch is ready to uncouple, couple, or tow. Its 2-pin head removal process also lets you easily remove the hitch in a couple manageable pieces so you can heave a completely clear truck bed when you aren't towing.

Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit for Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches. Is this hitch compatible with this Reese under-bed kit?

The Reese Elite puck system is specific to the Elite-branded hitches, so the above-mentioned Curt option will not fit. You'll need to go with a Companion like # BWRVK3300.

My 2020 3500 does not have the factory puck system. Is there an aftermarket under bed system this hitch will work with? Thank you.

It's not quite the puck system you might be imagining, but we do have one under-bed setup available for your 2020 Silverado 3500 with the B&W Companion # BWRVK3500-5W and Mounting Kit # BWGNRK1020-5W. The Companion utilizes the B&W gooseneck ball hole for attachment, so once it's removed you're left with a completely clean bed. You also have a gooseneck hitch if the need ever arises!
