Question:

Most tow bar brands specify the Civic 6 speed hatchback but do not state the 2019 Civic Sport 6speed is compatible with their base plate. Can you confirm which base plate is used on a 2019 Civic Sport, 6 speed? I want to make sure this wasn’t an oversight in the manufactures write up. Thanks, Joe

The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521573-5 are generally easier to use than the crossbar-style # RM-521573-4. It's most important however to confirm the base plates fit the towbar you will be using with this vehicle however. A popular towbar that features the quick disconnect feature is the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520.

Models with manual transmission
Your vehicle can be towed behind a motorhome. Perform the following procedure before towing your vehicle:
1. Shift to Neutral.
2. Release the parking brake.
3. Turn the ignition switch (or power mode) to ACCESSORY. Make sure the steering wheel does not lock.
4. Turn off all electrical devices. Do not use any accessory power sockets. This can prevent the battery from running down.
