Recommended 2 Inch Trailer Hitch for Peterbilt Semi
Published 10/30/2019 >
Question:
I need to mount a class lll or iv hitch on the rear of my 2003 Peterbilt 379 to bumper pull a vehicle. I’m good on the toad side, however, without having a welder fabricate something for the truck I’m not sure where to begin. Is there something available to bolt or weld on requiring minimal fabrication. Video and photos attached. Thank you.

Yes, the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 41990-16 is designed specially for the purpose of attaching to larger frame vehicles like a semi so this will work perfectly for you. The Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver can either be bolted or welded or both for that matter. I know you said you were looking for class III or class IV but there are not really any good options for these which is why you will want to go with the above class V. The higher the class, the greater the capacity but it won't be any issue at all if you are well under the capacity.
I have attached a sample install photo for you though we do not have any videos at this time.
