Question:

I am torn between the B&W 20K and the Curt A20 for my 2019 Ford F-350 with the pucks. Which do you recommend?

The Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16034 and the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3300 are both excellent options for a 2019 Ford F-350, two of my favorites in fact. I recommend the Curt A20 for a few different reasons which I have attached below.

In regards to weight, they both book in at about 150 lbs fully assembled however the heads on either unit can be removed to break up some of the weight. In order to remove the head on the Curt A20 you only need to pull one pin in the center of the head whereas in order to remove the head on the B&W Companion OEM you have to remove two pins and then wiggle the head back and forth to break it free from the pivot bushings which can be a hassle if you don't keep them lubed.

In regards to security, the Curt A20 has a dual interlocking jaw system whereas the B&W Companion just has a dual locking jaw system so the argument could be made that the Curt A20 is more secure although there is no denying they both do an excellent job in this category.

Finally, the Curt A20 has a unique indicator system that lets you know when your trailer is securely attached, the jaws are locked in place, and you are ready to take off. The B&W Companion does not have any such feature so you must rely on feel more. In summary, they are both great options and I know you will be happy with either but the Curt A20 has a slight advantage due to the reasons above.
