will the turning radius of my 2012 dodge ram 1500 be shortened while using the 17200 sway bar setup.

The Curt Friction Sway Control Bar # 17200 that you referenced will not limit or affect the turning clearance when towing with your 2012 Ram 1500.

The only precaution you will want to take with this installed is when you are backing up the trailer, as this can potentially put too much stress on the friction arm. Before backing up it is recommended to either release the tension on the arm or remove the sway control arm from the ball altogether.
