will the Rocketbox Pro 14 fit a 2018 Toyota 4 Runner using the siderails/crossbars that come factory installed on the 4 Runner or is the clearance not enough?

I spoke with Yakima and they stated that the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Rooftop Cargo Box part # Y07192 will physically fit on your 2018 Toyota 4-Runner with a factory roof rack but they do not recommend using this due to the limited space between the bottom of the crossbar and top of the roof. If you wanted to use the Yakima RocketBox your best option would be to replace the factory crossbars with the Yakima JetStream Crossbar System part # Y00425 and part # Y33TR.
I did however check with Thule and they show the Thule Sidekick Roof Mounted Cargo Carrier Box part # TH78GC as a fit because it has very shallow mounting clamps.
