Longer Roof Cargo Box for 2017 Infiniti QX60 to Carry Longer Lacrosse Stick

Hi, We just purchased a 2017 Infiniti Qx60 and want to purchase a cargo box for mainly ski/snowboard. The larger the better as we have a family of 5. In the summer we also use it for lacrosse tournaments as my son plays defense and has a long pole. As the car stands today I only have the factory side rails but no cross bars on it. What is the largest rack that I can fit on the car without impeding the trunk? Also, what would I need for crossbars? Id prefer to stick with Yakima and/or Thule. Thanks,

You are going to have to install a roof rack from Infiniti on your 2017 QX60 part number 999R1RZ500 as none of our aftermarket rack manufacturers have a crossbar solution for your vehicle that has the roof rails. Once you have that installed we can easily help with a cargo box. I looked up the standard lengths for your son's long pole and it looks like the length range is between 52 and 72 inches.

The SkyBox NX 16 part # Y95AV can fit skis up to 175 cm which is just under 69 inches so it could work fine with your son's pole but you might still measure. If you need longer, we have the 18 # Y07336 which can fit skis up to 84-1/2 inches.

To determine if either box would allow the rear hatch to open you need to measure from the center of the front crossbar back to the hatch seam. If this distance is greater than 57 inches the 18 will fit or greater than 47 inches the 16 will fit.
