What does it mean Duty Cycle = 5 minutes on/10 minutes off

The duty cycle is simply the amount of time that the water pump will run and not run over the course of the day. Some water pumps operate continuously and therefore put a drain on your battery. For the Flow Max RV Fresh Water Pump # LC689054 it will run for 5 minutes and then rest for 10 minutes to help maintain water pressure in your RV.
