Can Redline D4-96 Rubber Trailer Bumper Be Trimmed to Size and Drilled

Question:
I have an older 2 horse slant horse trailer with no existing bumper and it measures exactly 78inch on the outside where the rubber bumper will be placed. Holes will have to be drilled in the metal to install bumper. Can we trim the rubber and drill holes to make this work?

The Redline # D4-96 Round Rubber Trailer bumper can certainly be cut to size and have holes drilled in it so you can attach it any way you wish.
