Replacing Jensen MP5000 RV Stereo with Jensen # JWM60A
Updated 09/09/2019 | Published 09/06/2019 >
Question:
I have a MP5000 stereo in my 2008 Keystone Travel Trailer. Im considering purchasing a JWM60A. The physical dimensions appear to match. My question is the quick-connect on the back of the JWM60A the same is what is on the MP5000 so that I dont have to worry about sorting through wiring harness? Trying to match color wires. Thanks in advance.

While the Jensen RV Stereo # JWM60A you referenced is the best replacement option we have available in terms of size, it does not have the same wiring configuration as your existing MP5000 model. The two connectors are different so you would unfortunately have to hardwire in the new harness. This is pretty common for any stereo replacement.
We do not have a stereo available that has the same wiring as your current unit. I have attached an image from the installation manual that shows the wiring descriptions/functions on the # JWM60A that you can use for reference.
