Recommended AC Unit for 26 Foot Enclosed Trailer

Question:

I have a 26 ft enclosed trailer I transport my race car in , I want to sleep at the track , what unit will cool the trailer and work through the existing 14x14 ventbin roof, I have a 3500 watt inverter

To cool down your 26 foot enclosed trailer I highly recommend the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ACM150C, which includes both the air distribution box and a start capacitor as well. The start capacitor in particular is a great feature that basically stores up energy to use for when the AC kicks on, conserving energy and reducing the amount of power needed from your batteries or inverter.

The AC unit uses a 6-blade fan with motor to increase/decrease airflow, a built-in thermostat that lets you easily (and accurately) adjust the settings to your prime sleeping temperature, and a thick gasket with 6 foam pads that greatly reduce noise during operation. It pumps out 500 cubic feet of cold air per minute.

It does draw 15 amps of power while running and is designed to fit into a roof opening size of 14-1/4" x 14-1/4". This is the standard opening size for an AC unit and all of our options require the same dimensions. You may just need to expand your existing opening just a tad to allow for proper mounting. It does also require that the roof is between 2-1/2" and 5" thick.
