Can Wesbar Mini Clearance Light # 203233 be Wired to Two Wire Trailer Wiring Configuration

Question:

The existing light on my boat trailer which is about 20 years old has 2 wires white and black. Can I make this work?

Yes, you can wire a single wire trailer clearance light like the part # 203233 to a two wire setup like what you have currently. The trick is running the ground wire you have now (white wire) to the mounting hardware of the light as the single wire lights like this ground through their mounting hardware.
