Replacement Jack for Atwood Robofoot Jack without Folding Foot
Question:
Hey Guys, Ive got the following jack: AT81068 and Im looking for a stationary jack foot rather than the flip down. The problem with the flip down on my trailer is that for the trailer to be level, the foot is too close to the ground to actually extend, so the only way to use the jack properly is to either use a hand jack before extending it, or to have the trailer tipped back, neither of which is much fun. That being said, the product description says the outer tube is 2 3/16inch - looking at your jack feet, I only see 2inch and 2 1/4. Should I just be ordering the 2 1/4? Thanks,

The Robofoot of your Atwood Jack part # AT81068 that you referenced is removable but there isn't a standard foot replacement that you can install in place of it. You should check out the Lippert # LC165253 aftermarket foot though. You best solution may still be getting a new powered jack without a folding foot. Unless you'd be okay with bring a block of wood to use as a foot plate with the Atwood jack.
I think the best value for an A-frame tongue jack is the Stromberg Carlson # SC63VR which is rated for 4500 pounds of tongue weight. This is 1000 pounds more than other models, and even though you may not need this much capacity, you will find that the jack motor runs quick and effortlessly. This will add years to its life. This jack also has a unique clutch that prevents damage from overextending or retracting the jack foot - the most common reason for jack failure. I also like that is has a generous 23" lift, including a time-saving drop-foot. It includes LED lights for operating the hitch in the dark, and a built-in bullseye leveling bubble.
