Question:
Is that a knock out for direct wire to transfer switch? In other words does it bypass the built in outlets and work as regular power with lets say a 10-2 wire straight to main breaker on converter?

The terminals on the Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter # 34280178 are designed to have a 12 volt power source like a battery attached to and then on the other side of the inverter are standard sockets you'd see for AC power. This does not have a transfer switch like you mentioned that you'd run to a breaker panel/converter.
For an inverter that does have a transfer switch we have the # 34279458 which might be what you are looking for to run to a breaker panel.
