Question:
Using the Yakima BigStack Carrier will I be able to load a 40#, 10 1/2 foot lake kayak by myself?
asked by: Kathy S
Expert Reply:
The Yakima BigStack # Y04041 can definitely handle a 40 lb, 10-1/2' kayak on your 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon, and it can be loaded by one person provided that person can lift and maneuver the 40 lbs.
If the 40 lb kayak is a little much for you to handle on your own you may want to look into a load assist carrier like the HandRoll # Y04082-2, ShowDown # Y04081, or a supplemental load assist like the Inno # INA453 or Rhino-Rack # RR-RUSL.
