The best wiring harness for your 2019 Ford Escape is the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118802 . This wiring harness allows for easy installation since it plugs in behind your drivers side and passenger side tail lights and gives you a 4 pole harness to provide power for the lights on your trailer. The wired-in power module is going to reduce strain on your factory wiring system by drawing power from your car's battery system instead of drawing from your tail light's circuits.
If you don't already have a ball mount and hitch ball I recommend the ball mount kit for 2" hitches # 989900 which comes with 2 different ball mounts to accommodate different trailer rises/drops as well as 2 hitch balls and 2 hitch pins.
