Do I Need To Use Plumbers Putty With Ultra Faucets RV Drain Plug 277-000038

Question:

We purchased the Best bath single bowl sink LC209635 along with the #277-000038 drain. My question is this. Does the drain require any type of seal under the drain flange in the bowl, ie plumbers putty or is the rubber seal that came with the drain all that is required to seal it? Im questioning because of how residential sink drains are installed that require sealing under the drain inside the sink.

The Ultra Faucets RV Drain Plug part # 277-000038 has a rubber gasket so plumbers putty is not needed. The rubber gasket will seal the the drain hole.
