Question:

I have a new Honda civic 4 door 2020. You do not have a rack for that year yet. Will the 2019 rack fit or should I wait a few months? Also, which rack would be best for me - I need to carry 200 lbs. It needs to be relatively easy to put on and off. I am unable to mess around with something that almost fits and would be willing to wait if the 2019 isnt an exact fit. Although I have a budget - I would like it to be quiet but would be willing to let that go if the price for that feature is too high. Can you make a recommendation for me? Thanks.

I do have an option for you in the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack part # 298-SX6000B but as of July 2019 there are currently no custom fit options for a 2020 Honda Civic Sedan. That said, the above will actually be the best option for frequent off and on use as it will take considerably less time to remove/install when compared to a custom fit system. This roof rack has a 150 lb weight capacity but the custom fit systems for your Civic will limit you to 165 lbs. The vehicle's roof weight capacity would also likely be lower than 200 lbs as well so you would not be able to carry 200 lbs on your roof no matter which system you go with.

In regards to wind noise, the aero shaped crossbars will be best but the round crossbars above are also pretty quiet as well and you can add the Inno Fairing for Roof Racks part # INA261 for even more wind noise reduction. The best part of all is that the Monkey Bars will work on pretty much any vehicle so you can easily transfer this to a different vehicle in the future as well.
