Can Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs be Used on 2019 Toyota 4Runner With KDSS
Updated 07/30/2019 | Published 07/29/2019 >
Question:
Will the installation instructions have any significant changes if my 2019 4Runner has KDSS? I want to pull a trailer over the CO Rockies to Utah, and then park it and off-road. I like the idea of the adjustable air bags so I can get full travel of the springs and allow the KDSS to work when not towing. However, I am concerned if the dynamic suspension parts affect getting the bags into the springs.

You can absolutely use the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs # F4135 on your 2019 Toyota 4Runner with the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS). This dynamic system will not affect the helper springs because the springs are installed inside the coils of your 4Runner. There are no separate installation instructions for the KDSS version, which has been around for quite some time. I checked the instructions for other vehicles with this system as well as fits to ensure this.
I recommend taking a look at the install video I linked of the Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs # F4135 on a 4Runner for an idea of how they will install.
