Trailer Taillights Stay On After Trailer Wiring Harness Install
Updated 07/29/2019 | Published 07/26/2019 >
Question:
Running lights stay on when my vehicle is turned off and when switching the lights to auto, off and on. I installed everything per instructions on my Jeep renegade trail hawk. A trailer hitch tester indicates the only issue is that the power to the running lights stays on. C56274

With your plug-in trailer wiring harness, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56274 on your 2018 Jeep Renegade then you will need to test the running light circuit leaving the converter box. If this wire has power while the vehicle's taillights are off, then you will need to replace the converter box.
