It is super easy to attach a Blue Ox Tow Bar to a Roadmaster Base Plate Kit. If you have the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit like part # 1555-5 then you will need to use the Blue Ox Tow Bar to Roadmaster Base Plates Adapter part # BX88178 but if you have the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit like part # 1555-3 then you will need to use the Blue Ox Tow Bar to Roadmaster Base Plates Adapter part # BX88185.

I notice there are two different adapters, I have the blue ox alpha towbar to use with the road master base plate 1555-3. from looking at the RO64FR and the bx88185 look exactly the same except one comes with pins. can you explain the difference to me and would they both work with the base plate?
